2. Hosting

This website is operated and delivered by Wix.com Ltd., 5 Yunitsman St., Tel Aviv 6936025, Israel. When you visit, Wix processes technically necessary data on our behalf, such as your IP address, browser type and the time of access, in order to provide the site securely. The EU Commission has issued an adequacy decision for Israel. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in operating the website securely (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). The typeface on this site is also delivered by Wix, not by Google or other services.

3. Cookies and cookie notice

When you visit, Wix sets technically necessary cookies (for example “client-session-bind”) and creates a technical entry in browser storage. They keep the site secure and working. Legal basis: § 165(3) of the Austrian Telecommunications Act 2021 and our legitimate interest (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).

We only allow statistics and functional cookies from Wix (for example “bSession”) if you agree in the cookie notice (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR). Your choice is stored in your browser (cookie “consent-policy” and browser storage) so the notice doesn’t appear on every visit. You can change or withdraw it at any time under “Cookie settings” at the bottom of every page.

4. Content from our database

We load videos and stories from our database at Wix. For this, your browser requests an anonymous, short-lived access token from Wix. It is not stored, neither as a cookie nor in browser storage, and disappears when you close the page. Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR.

5. Audience measurement

We use Plausible Analytics by Plausible Insights OÜ, Västriku tn 2, 50403 Tartu, Estonia. Plausible sets no cookies and stores no personal data; visits are counted anonymously, and the data is kept on servers in the EU (Germany). This shows us, for example, how many people come via Instagram or via a card, and how often someone taps “I said yes” – without knowing who. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in understanding the reach of our content (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).

6. Contact form, prayer requests, sending Bibles

What you send us through the form (first name, email address, topic, message and, if applicable, your postal address) is stored by Wix Forms on our behalf. We reply by email from our Google (Gmail) mailbox. Because messages often reveal something about your faith or your health, we only process them with your explicit consent (Art. 9(2)(a) GDPR), which you can withdraw at any time by email. We use your postal address only for sending and delete it afterwards. We delete messages no later than six months after our last contact. After you send the form, Wix sends you an automatic confirmation on our behalf; it does not contain your message. To protect against spam we use a small arithmetic question, invisible checks (a hidden field and a short timing check) and the Wix Forms spam filter, not an external captcha.

7. YouTube videos

On the stories page and on the home page we show thumbnails of the videos. These images are hosted at Wix; no connection to YouTube is made when they are shown. The video itself is embedded from YouTube (Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland) in privacy-enhanced mode. It only loads when you tap “Play video”. Only then is data such as your IP address transmitted to YouTube; a transfer to the USA is possible. The legal basis is your consent by tapping (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR).

8. Links to Instagram and TikTok

These services are only linked on our site, not embedded. Data only flows when you click a link; the privacy policy of the provider then applies.

9. Your rights

You have the right to access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, data portability and objection, as well as the right to withdraw consent at any time. Just write to us at jesusisking.at@gmail.com.

10. Right to lodge a complaint

You can lodge a complaint with the Austrian Data Protection Authority: Barichgasse 40–42, 1030 Vienna, dsb@dsb.gv.at.

11. Language versions

This policy applies to all language versions of the website (German, English, French, Italian, Polish, Spanish). Choosing a language stores nothing on your device. If you write to us from a page in another language, we note the language in your message so we can reply appropriately.
